~New Zealand~
Come join us with a small group of college students on a First Year Missionary Trip to New Zealand where you will:

• Reach out to the churches of Auckland, our home base, to find young
people who are willing to be radically changed and ready to serve Jesus
no matter the cost.

• Partner with local ministries who are in
desperate need of help. Matthew 9:37 says, "The harvest is plentiful,
but the workers are few." This is very true in New Zealand.

• Take
an in-depth look into the life of Jesus and surrender daily the things
that keep us from walking in close communion with God.

• Train and empower the local Christians, especially the youth, to reach into the world of those around them.

New... FYM New Zealand Video

Ministry Description:

Participants
will develop their own internships as they live and serve God among the
people of New Zealand. These internships range from working with kids
in schools to street evangelism to working with people with
disabilities, as well as many other ministries. The opportunities are
endless as we seek the Lord together and ask Him where He would want
you!!

The other part of the FYM Program is discipleship. Each
participant will be intensely discipled, both one-on-one and in a group
setting. We believe that good training combined with practical
application produces a life that is sold out to serve Jesus. As we
spend time discipling you, you will learn how to disciple others. You
will also learn what Jesus meant when he said in Matthew 28:19,
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…" as we befriend the
locals, the youth at church, or wherever God leads. He will use you to
change the hearts of young people throughout New Zealand as you open
your hearts and say yes to God.

Our Vision for Mobilizing New Zealand Young people:

Since I (Dave Morse) am a native of New Zealand, my wife and I have a
vision that involves the young people here. Our ultimate desire would
be to lead a team made up of N.Z. and U.S. students. This would tear
down cultural barriers and allow us to minister together as Christ
intends. We will start to do this in each of our internships, and that
is amazing, but in the end we want to see people equipped and ready to
serve God anywhere. Students in N.Z. are already inquiring about being
a part of a year-long discipleship/ministry program. Wow!!

Ministry in New Zealand:
First
of all, we believe that all ministry should be "God led," so everything
is done after a huge amount of prayer. There are so many opportunities,
and the list below includes just a few. God is opening the doors faster
than we can run through them. Whatever your gifting is, there is
something for you. Whatever you aren't comfortable with, there will be
something else.

• Drama and street evangelism
• Teaching Bible in schools
• Working with P.A.C.T., an after-school program (50-100 kids)
• Working with a local church
• Ministering in the "red light district"
• Meeting physical needs for local families
• Working with people with disabilities
• Ministering to people caught in addictions

Road Trips:
We
have several contacts throughout New Zealand, including Rotorua,
Wellington, Tauranga, and Christchurch. We will probably do a couple of
road trips to reach out to these places. We have such a desire to see
our young people filter throughout N.Z., and this would be a
fundamental way of achieving that. Part of reaching a country as a
whole is being willing to travel if that is God's plan for us. It would
also be an incredible way to spend time as a team ministering together.
Road trips would have to coincide with internship commitments as well.
